Here at The Forge, we are nearing production of our first print issue. Hopefully, we will have the first issue printed and ready by May Day.
The Forge is a socialist newspaper serving East Tennessee and the Southern US. We have contributors who subscribe to a wide range of socialist tendencies and schools of thought. We are not officially affiliated with any particular tendency, organization or party.
As far as we are aware, The Forge will be the first socialist newspaper in the Knoxville area. It’s possible there may have been a socialist newspaper in the early 20th century, but we haven’t been able to find any record of one.
